Dr. Shoma Morita, the developer of this method, says that emotions are unchangeable natural processes.

Instead of trying to change them, what needs to happen is to accept the emotions the way they are (arugamama) and learn how to fulfill your responsibilities.

This method is very effective in stress management, establishing healthy relationships and facilitating discipline in your daily life.

Not being able to breathe properly is a serious health problem in the stressful world of today.

Stress is the leading reason for holding breaths in. A majority of people use only 20% of their breathing capacity.

Not breathing healthily, which is a major function that takes the toxins out of our body, prevents the cells from taking in nutrition and work properly, and results in muscle contractions and an increased rate for chronic diseases.

Breathing properly increases the oxygen level in the blood and helps your brain to work more productively, lower your stress level and increase your energy.

Breathing therapies can be used to control pains and enforce your defense system.

We laugh with it, we fall in love with it, we get hungry and we talk through it.

It is the thing that stages our most enigmatic dreams and our sweetest daydreams as well!

We are lucky, because we have it, the human brain, the most complicated and developed device on the face of the earth.

So, despite this fact, why do we frequently make decisions that contradict with our interests, that we keep our habits that we know are wrong, and actually insist on it despite feeling guilty about it?

How come that we still look for cure for stress through drugs and pills that bring up new problems for us, decrease our brains productivity and fails our immune system instead of natural solutions?

The common answer to all these questions is that we do not know about our brain!

And we do not know how to use it properly!

“Guide on Using Our Brain” group work is planned to fill in this gap.

This study aims to introduce the brains structure, how it works, its merits and flaws under the light of the newest neuroscience concepts with a simple and understandable language and carry the participants’ understanding, knowledge and skills about the topics below to the highest level possible:

How do your senses, emotions and personality shape up in your brain?

Where are the different types of memory and how can you strengthen your memory?

Types of intelligence and ways to improve each,

What is sleep and dreaming, how do they occur in our brain? What are the non-medicated ways to deal with insomnia?

How do addictions take place and how are they managed?

What is stress and anxiety? Methods of mental focusing and mindfulness and their practical applications,

The fine art of being happy, types of happiness and unhappiness, love and affection,

Brain nutrition, maintenance, protection and ways to keep it young at all ages.

Serious and long term diseases are difficult and straining processes for both the patients and their relatives.

The state of loneliness and helplessness that almost always accompanies sickness, now knowing how to share this burden, fatigue, rebelling against what one is going through and other similar mood states make the lives of the patient and his/her relatives even more difficult.

There is a major need to help and support that is beyond physical medical care.

“Crossing Sickness Mountain Together” is a support program includes practical knowledge and applications for the patients and the relatives that are responsible of their care.

This program is composed of four modules.

In the first module, topics of sharing what one is going through during the sickness, understanding about their emotions and thoughts are discussed.

The second module is an applicative training work that is about the management of depression, anxiety and anger emotions that are very frequently observed in patients that have serious and chronical diseases as well as their relatives who are responsible of their care.

The third module provides information on how to obtain the skills to communicate with doctors, receive social participation and support from your family and environment.

The fourth module is focused on working on the meaning of life, the spiritual values, and positive psychology methods and includes intense practices on mind management and relaxation exercises.
